I have read some reviews that say the Bulldog Valve Robot is not strong enough; is this true?
The motor in the Bulldog is quite strong, but the valve must be in good working order. It should move smoothly requiring no force to close, otherwise, it can prevent the Bulldog from operating properly, especially with poor installation.

I have read some reviews that say the brackets come loose or it moves during operation. Is this a design problem?
The Bulldog design is exceptionally good. The brackets should be tightened to the valve, not to the pipe, and not to the round end of the valve to prevent slipping. We have updated our user documentation to make this clear.

What tools and skills or expertise do I need to install the Bulldog?
You will need a medium Phillips screwdriver and a drill for the valve controller. Basic knowledge of using a screwdriver and following the installation manual is sufficient for installation.

What do you mean by "poor installation"?
It refers to improper assembly and alignment of parts to the ball valve. Most support requests stem from simple issues like loose screws or not following instructions.

Should I get the Bulldog or a motorized valve?
A motorized valve will always be superior, but the Bulldog is a good option. Contact us for any unanswered questions.
